SafwayAtlantic - Park Avenue

432 Park Avenue

When the tallest residential tower in the western hemisphere was in the planning phase, Lend Lease, the project’s building contractor, reached out to SafwayAtlantic to engineer a comprehensive access solution for the project. SafwayAtlantic custom designed and engineered a solution using a common tower, six hoists and two windows for access to minimize obstruction. In addition, SafwayAtlantic provided scaffolding, sidewalk protection and roof protection.

Union Station

Accommodating more than 3 million passengers every year, Chicago’s Union Station is the country’s third busiest rail terminal. Throughout a major restoration project, which included preserving the station’s barrel-vaulted skylight, constructing a new high-efficiency skylight, adding weatherproofing, and painting and repairing water-damaged plaster and stone, SafwayAtlantic provided access solutions. With 22,000 square feet of the QuikDeck® Suspended Access System, two Spider® swing stages, Systems™ Scaffold, and two Beta Max hoists, workers were able to access the Great Hall’s ceiling and facades, as well as the barrel-vaulted roof from above and below.
